DESCRIPTION:KEYNOTE SPEAKER – Leader Luncheon is the YWCA Northwestern Illinois’s primary fund-raising event. Funds from the event are used to develop and expand programming and advocacies for women and families’ economic self-sufficiency with a clear commitment to the elimination of racism and the empowerment of women. Scholarships will also be awarded to high school seniors and six awards will be presented to outstanding individuals in the community.

DESCRIPTION:KEYNOTE SPEAKER – Kimberla will speak and sign copies of her books (From Noon – 2 PM). The festival will take place from 10 AM – 3 PM.  There will also be lots of children’s authors in attendance who create stories featuring children of color. So please bring your young daughters\, sons\, grandchildren\, nieces\, and nephews! The event is FREE and open to the public.
